Crown Lifting
Crown Lifting can be carried in order to increase the gap between the ground and the lower branches of the tree. This then allows much more space below the tree canopy and in turn improves the amount of light under the tree. It can also improve the view under the tree canopy.

Crown Reduction
If your tree is getting too large for your garden or it’s just too big in general then reducing the size of its overall canopy will leave it much more balanced and in keeping with its location.

Crown Thinning
The benefits of thinning a tree’s canopy are that it lets in much more light without having to take the whole tree out and it also reduces the sail area of the tree which in turn means that there’s less strain on it when it’s windy etc.

Tree Pollarding
Pollarding is a pruning method that enables you to keep a tree smaller than it would otherwise grow naturally. Pollarding a tree would normally need to be started once a tree has reached a certain height. Once completed, regular pollarding would then be required in order to restrict the tree to the desired height.

Tree Felling & Dismantling
When a tree is coming to the end of its life or it just needs to come out then tree felling or dismantling is required. Both processes result in the entire tree being removed to ground level. Felling is done from the bottom of the tree and dismantling starts at the top of the tree and works down in a more manageable manor. Whichever process is used generally depends on the size of the tree and its proximity to any obstacles near or around it.
